If you’re a Manchester United supporter and you haven’t been following the news in the last 24 hours, you might want to look away now.
The news out of Old Trafford last night was that Amad has suffered an ankle injury and could miss the rest of the season.
Even before that, it sounds like it had been a tricky week at Manchester United with manager Ruben Amorim revealing he has drafted in players from the academy for training this week amid injury and illness “issues” in his first team.
But Amorim refused to identify which players could now be doubts with further assessments to come, with the likes of Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount all working their way back to fitness after time out of the team.
Asked if the issues were setbacks to players recovering from injuries, Amorim replied: “Yes. We will see at the weekend.”
