Lions living up to the hype
I didn’t want to fall through the trap door with the Lions. I got to know Dan Campbell when he was an assistant with the New Orleans Saints, and I believed he would be a good head coach. But this was Detroit we were talking about, whose history didn’t exactly brim with confidence. They’ve already defeated the Chiefs and I’d give them a shot against almost any team in the NFL at this rate. Maybe not against the 49ers, but everyone else.
I pound the Cincinnati Bengals drum pretty loudly in these parts on a semi-consistent basis. After watching the Joe Burrow–Ja’Marr Chase–Trey Hendrickson show in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, it might be time to hop on the bandwagon again.
The AFC North has bunched back together and the Bengals seem like they’re the team that’s starting to heat up.
