Premier League clubs alerted to Tyler Adams availability after Chelsea move collapses

Other leading Premier League clubs have been alerted to Tyler Adams’ availability after a proposed move to Chelsea collapsed.

The USMNT international, 24, was set for a switch from Leeds United with the Premier League club ready to trigger a £20million ($25.5m) clause in his contract.

However, despite the player travelling to London for a medical on Friday the move did not proceed.

Adams is understood to be close to returning from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the start of Leeds’ Championship campaign.

He is expected back after next month’s international break.

Chelsea have made midfield additions one of their top priorities of the transfer window after seeing Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all leave the club since the end of last season.

They have had four offers for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo rejected while also bidding £48m for Romeo Lavia of Southampton.

Adams played 24 times for Leeds last season.

He has 36 caps for the USMNT and captained them at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
