The Bengals have it all cooking against the Browns in the first half. Joe Burrow has 149 passing yards and two touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase has caught four passes for 50 yards. Tee Higgins has 47 yards and a touchdown. Chase Brown has 65 yards on 10 rushes. Nearly every element that has elevated this offense over the last seven weeks took a turn creating big plays in the first half.
Defensively, the Bengals were a mess and looking like their old selves on the first play of the game, a 66-yard run up the middle by Jerome Ford. But they settled down and only allowed 20 yards on 18 plays since. It would take a wild change of events for this game to end up in anything other than a blowout setting the Bengals up with a chance to return to the thick of the playoff race against the Broncos next week.
