Nets trade Mikal Bridges to Knicks: Sources

The Brooklyn Nets traded forward Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks, league sources confirmed Tuesday.

As part of the deal, the Nets will trade a 2025 Phoenix Suns draft pick swap, a 2027 Suns first-rounder and a first-rounder and swap in 2029 to the Houston Rockets for their 2025 pick swap and a 2026 first-round pick from the James Harden trade.

Bridges averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists for Brooklyn last season. It marked his first full season with the Nets, and he played all 82 regular-season games. He will rejoin his college teammates from Villanova — Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart — with the Knicks.

The Philadelphia 76ers selected Bridges with the No. 10 pick in 2018 but traded him to the Suns on draft night. Bridges spent nearly five seasons in Phoenix, where he averaged 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals on 37.6 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Bridges concluded his career in Brooklyn posting 21.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest on 37.3 percent from 3.

ESPN was first to report news of the trade.
