LSU senior forward Aneesah Morrow suffered an apparent left foot injury in the third quarter of the Tigers’ SEC semifinal game against Texas on Saturday.
After a drive, Morrow fell and was helped off the floor by staff and teammate Flau’jae Johnson, not putting any weight on her left foot. The Tigers ruled Morrow out for the rest of the game, and she returned to the bench in the fourth quarter with a boot on her foot.
Morrow arrived at the gym during pregame with a boot on her left foot, signaling a lingering ailment or some kind of preventative measure ahead of the game, ESPN’s Holly Rowe reported on the broadcast.
Morrow’s injury occurred at the 7:53 mark in the third quarter and led LSU in scoring (10 points) with four steals and two rebounds at the time of her exit. LSU trailed by five points, down 32-27 to No. 2 seed Texas, when Morrow departed the game.

The senior leads her team in rebounds (14 per game) and steals (2.5 per game) and is second in scoring (18.7 points per game), earning recognition on the SEC’s first team and All-defensive team. In the Tigers’ SEC tournament quarterfinal game, Morrow finished with 36 points, 14 rebounds and three steals in LSU’s 101-87 win.
The Tigers were already without Johnson, a sophomore guard and All-SEC first team selection, who LSU ruled out of the SEC tournament with a right shin ailment but was expected to be available for the NCAA Tournament. For LSU’s quarterfinal and semifinal games, Johnson wore a boot on her right foot.
