Carneros Resort and Spa
Situated on 28 beautiful acres in iconic Napa Valley is the luxury property, Carneros Resort and Spa. Drawing inspiration from the rustic beauty of Napa Valley’s local countryside, the property boasts a refined farmhouse aesthetic, perfectly showcasing the allure of the resort while merging with the picturesque backdrop of the surrounding wine country. On property are three on-site dining destinations open to the public including FARM at Carneros and Boon Fly Café (the third restaurant Hilltop Dining Room is for resort guests only). Carneros Resort also features POST at Carneros for wine tasting. In addition, the property recently unveiled two state-of-the-art pickleball courts and a lounge in partnership with Veuve Clicquot.
Adjacent to the pickleball courts is the premiere Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar & Lounge perfect for post-game relaxation with bottle service; bites that include charcuterie plates, garden vegetable boards and cheeses; and shaded, plush seating that includes Veuve Clicquot-branded furnishings, a fun photo wall, and more.
Pickleball
When guests are ready to unwind, they can head to Carneros Resort’s new wine tasting room, POST, which offers a diverse range of Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley wines in a charming and intimate setting. Once a fully-functioning Post Office, POST is now a chic social hub and tasting room. Explore a rotating list of signature wine flights that include a selection of bold red and refreshing whites. Guests can also personalize their own tastings, or sip on wines by the glass, indoors or out, surrounded by culinary gardens.
Over next door at the Market, guests are welcome to freshly baked pizzas from their outdoor pizza oven From 11 am to 3 pm every Thursday – Sunday. Enjoy artisanal pizza featuring handmade dough and fresh ingredients harvested from their garden. For an elevated experience you can also purchase local wine or beer from Market, and have fun with round of bocce at Town Square (located centrally with in the property). Market also sells a range of gourmet food and snacks for your time in wine country.
POST
The Pavilion at FARM is an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail, enjoy live music, stroll through lush culinary gardens and sit back at the al fresco lounge which offers outdoor fireplaces, living room-style seating and lawn games that include an enormous life-sized chess board.
For brunch, lunch or dinner, head next door to FARM at Carneros which features an elevated menu by Chef John Carney featuring locally sourced produce and ingredients from the restaurant’s own organic culinary gardens. Morning dishes include the Texas Wild Boar Ribollita with Italian white beans, garden kale, san marzano tomatoes; San Francisco Smoked Salmon with bagel chips, pickled pearl onion, egg mimosa, charred lemon, house lemon crème fraîche and the Lobster Roll with house lemon crème fraiche.
When it comes to sweets, enjoy specialities like the Brioche French Toast with blueberry lemon compote, yuzu, oatmeal crumble, vanilla chantilly or the classic Belgian Waffle with strawberry curd, vanilla chantilly.
FARM
The Farm Bar menu offers starters like fresh Oysters on the half shell; Crispy Pig Ears with summer strawberry chili sauce, preserved green strawberry, wild fennel; Spring Strawberry Salad with Tenbrink farms baby kale anf red mustard frill, purple haze goat cheese, marcona almonds, and navel orange vinaigrette; and Black Truffle Potato Gnocchi with périgord truffles.
FARM’s entree’s include pizzas, like the Forest Mushroom & Caggiano Sausage Pizza; Duck Confit Cassoulet with a white bean ragout, persillade breadcrumb; and Sonoma Red Chicken with elderberry barley roulade, hen of wood mushroom, creamed antient grains and mushroom jus.
Another option is the lively Boon Fly Cafe for brunch, lunch or dinner. The restaurant is named after a Carneros pioneer named Boon Fly, who planted orchards and vineyards in the area in the mid-1800s. It serves modern, rustic cuisine in a modern roadhouse atmosphere, complete with an upscale, laid back vibe.
You can’t go wrong beginning your day here with popular starters being their signature Boon Fly donuts or banana bread with lemon curd, or savories like the avocado toast with pistachios, dried cranberries and microgreens. Entrees include the award-winning fried chicken with a malt waffle; Corned Beef Hash with house-made corned beef and crispy hash browns; or the Boon Fly Benedict with thin sliced caggiano ham, poached eggs, jalapeño hollandaise, crispy hash browns.
Donuts
For dinner Boon Fly Cafe offers a selection of flatbreads like the Ohlone Smoked Salmon with fromage blanc, red onion, parmesan, lemon crème fraiche and mains such as the gumbo with andouille sausage, smoked chicken, rock shrimp and steamed jasmine rice; Pan Seared New York Steak with creamed spinach, roasted fingerling & squash medley, piquillo jus; and the Akaushi Kobe Beef Burger with a house-made brioche poppy seed bun.
Don’t miss out on dessert which includes an incredible Burnt Cheesecake with mascarpone chantilly, seasonal jam, graham crackers (big enough for 2-3 people) or the Peach Crumble Pie with oat crumble, rosemary, salted caramel sauce, whipped cream.
