Hansi Flick appoints Pini Zahavi as new agent

Former Bayern Munich and Germany manager Hansi Flick has appointed Pini Zahavi as his new agent.

Zahavi, considered one of football’s first “super agents”, has a close relationships with many of the world’s biggest clubs, placing Flick in prime position to be joining one in the summer.

The 80-year-old was instrumental in orchestrating Robert Lewandowski’s €45million (£39m, $45m) move from Bayern Munich to Barcelona in the summer of 2022 after working in conjunction with Barcelona president Joan Laporta. He also helped broker Thiago Silva’s transfer to Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020.

Flick has been out of management since being dismissed from his role as Germany national team coach in September 2023 after overseeing a group stage exit at the 2022 World Cup and a run of four wins in 16.

The 58-year-old previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell in charge at Bayern Munich where he won the treble in 2019-20.

He has also held roles at Hoffenheim and RB Salzburg.
