Copa America 2024 tickets to go on sale on February 28

Tickets for the 2024 Copa America in the United States will go on sale on February 28, CONMEBOL has confirmed.

A CONMEBOL spokesperson told The Athletic last month that tickets were expected to be available to the public by the end of February, and the confederation has now announced that they will go on sale at 10am local time for each stadium on February 28 — 121 days before the opening game.

Tickets for the group stages, quarter-finals, semi-finals and third-place play-off will all be available to purchase on this date.

Tickets for the final at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will not be on sale on February 28 and will be made available “at a later date”.

Copa America tickets can be purchased via the tournament’s official website

Prices for the tickets have not yet been confirmed. Even though tickets are not yet available for purchase, they have already appeared on the secondary market.

The 48th edition of the Copa América begins on June 20 and will feature all 10 CONMEBOL countries and six nations from CONCACAF. The tournament will be played in 14 U.S. cities, with the final coming on July 14 at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. 2022 World Cup winner Argentina, led by Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi, is the defending champion.

The final two competing CONCACAF nations are still to be determined. These will come from the winners of Canada versus Trinidad and Tobago, and Costa Rica against Honduras in a Concacaf Nations League Play-In in on March 23.

The Copa América Centenario in 2016 was also held in the U.S. That tournament was a rousing success on the pitch and commercially. A total of 1.5 million people attended matches in 2016, with average attendance hovering around 46,000, per reports. The competition was televised in more than 160 countries, with television viewership for the Centenario in the U.S. surpassing 100 million.
