Those eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the Club World Cup isn’t the only soccer tournament taking place Stateside next summer.
From June 14 to July 6, 2025 – not insignificant crossover – the U.S. and Canada will host the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the biennial tournament between international teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Saudi Arabia could be part of it, too. It will mainly take place on the west coast, with the Club World Cup on the east coast, partially to benefit television audiences in Europe, home to many of the most famous teams competing in the competition.
Nonetheless, suboptimal planning.
