This is the Liberty’s third road game of the postseason. They split the first two in Las Vegas and were the league’s best road team during the regular season with a 16-4 road record. Breanna Stewart says she enjoys hostile environments, and Sandy Brondello says she thinks her team has been prepared for this setting because so many of them — including the coach herself — were in the Olympics, where each game was “pretty intense”.
They should expect quite the crowd at Target Center, which is hosting its first Finals game in seven seasons after essentially being an annual destination for the W between 2011-17. “What I feel is a real excitement for (the fans),” Cheryl Reeve said. “They know what to do in Finals basketball, and they’re ready. And, as you mentioned, it’s been a few years. And so I think it is going to be an unbelievable environment. Barclays was great, this is going to be even better.”
